music1618 879 Posted April 3, 2013 I havent had my surgery yet but i have been saving up Nyquil cups and asking friends and relatives to save theirs for me. They are an ounce and free and i figure if i can fill that i know im not over drinking the first few weeks and can measure exactly what i need to take in. anyone have thoughts on this idea? Someone suggested to me sippie cups for kids. You can measure easily and helps get your fluids in. When you are done with one you feel like you have accomplished something! ready2smile 138 Posted April 4, 2013 I bought a bunch of stuff at the Dollar Tree. A 7 day am/pm pill holder, tiny containers with lids, ziplock baggies, chapsticks-those puppies were all over the house and in our vehicles until i discovered EOS, a couple little ramekins to use for baking small portions, , funnels (I take a few sips out of a water bottle then use it to put vanilla Protein Powder in a Water bottle with an orange crystal lite packet-tastes like a creamcicle),

Already had a magic bullet and used it quite a bit, had a food scale but rarely use it. A timer is handy-you'll forget to eat believe it or not. My hosp also gave me the 1oz cups to take home. They were great. Papaya enzymes are amazing-Walmart has them cheap and now even my kids use them when yet had tummy troubles. I always kept a few water bottles by the bed or recliner so I never ran out-got pretty thirsty at night and at 1st it was hard to keep getting in and out if bed. Recliner was my spot during the day, easier to get in and out and felt better to sleep in. speaking of sleep-Also pretty much lived in (for about 6 weeks-until i returned to work) my loose hoodies and yoga pants, warm fuzzy socks and cozy blankets with a pillow tucked close to my tummy. Was always cold!!! Good luck, oh, and read the post about what all people should know prior to having this surgery (don't recall the name of it right now but I'll come back and post it). :]
