My surgery was Tuesday and my surgeon said the surgery was more difficult than he had anticipated. So needless to say I am so very sore that I can't get out of the chair by myself. I have an area about 4 x 6 inches right above my primary incision that is hard and tender all the way in to my back but I feel a tearing ripping pain when I move and I can't stand up straight. Has anyone else ever had similar problem? That incision has 8 staples in it.

Some people like my self sail right thru surgery and bounce back immediately. Other people run into complicaitons or their recouperation time is longer. Each day gets better and better, take your pain meds as directed because your body does not heal as fast when it is in pain. A pain free body heals much quicker and you will be back on your feet much faster. When you do get up move around and try walking that gets all the kinks out... well at least for me it did. I hope you are feeling better soon :)

Heck yeah!!! I know exactly what you are talking about. I have fibromyalgia so all of my pain was heighten! I could not wipe my own butt because my stomach Hurt so bad I could not turn. I was in the bed for days!!! It took me at least 6 to 8 weeks before I no longer needed assistance.
