nienie 113 Posted March 14, 2013 What staged diet are you?? When I came home from hospital I was full liquids so Soups (strained) yogurt, pudding and liquids. I usually drank as much as i could all day and ate two to three times a day. Did they not give you some sort of guide?? My program gave us a booklet sample times and sample foods. If they didn't I would call them and tell them you need something. You probably won't feel hungry but right now you need to get liquids and Protein in!! nienie 113 Posted March 14, 2013 I know liquids get tiring initially. I did liquids 13 days post op but it is so important to follow the staged diet for healing of pouch and to prevent complications like strictures. Just keep drinking, taking in Soup. I found chicken broth worked best for me to get all my liquids in. I could put it in a cup and helped to prevent dehydration. Crystal light works wonders in Water too to make it taste better and jazz it up.. Hang in there-there is a reason for this stage of the game.
kiwiladydee 402 Posted March 14, 2013 Your body isn't ready for solids, but our mind sometimes gets the best of us. Just stick with liquids - try all kinds of Soups, mashed potatoes, oatmeal. Lots of options out there. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

pookybear 284 Posted March 14, 2013 Right now you probably want to rely on the clock to know when it's time to eat. I tried to stick as close to the times they brought me food in the hospital. The hunger feeling will come back as you heal. Re-Birthday: 2/27/13 1 nienie reacted to this
