cralls 5 Posted March 5, 2013 Did any one else have a hard time getting in the Water and Protein they needed to post op? I keep saying I'm going to drink my three Protein drinks but I get half way through one and I'm full. I drink water throughout the day but it's not the 50ox they want me getting It's like I don't have enough hours in the day to get all the nutrients I need. I tried using the Unjury unflavored protein in my other foods but I can't stomach the taste. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
worm2872 635 Posted March 5, 2013 I can't handle the unflavored. Gag. and yes, it is typical not to be able to get it all in. Just keep really hydrated and work up to your Protein limits. cralls 5 Posted March 6, 2013 You won't feel hungry post surgery so while mentally you might think about them because you feel satisfied with what you have it's a lot easier to say no. Plus I've heard once you've had one dumping experience with a food you avoid it like the plague. So even if down the line you do slip up it's easy to get back on track. Nicole K 352 Posted March 6, 2013 As worm said, you won't be able to make the Protein or Water goals for a while. My doctor said the first two weeks focus on staying hydrated.
