I'm 2 months in my 6 month diet and so far haven't lost any weight. I've been using my fitness pal and it said if I stayed around 2000 calories a day I should lose 1lb a week....nope

I haven't even seen the nut yet. Yea I thought the carbs on myfitnesspal was really high. How many calories do you eat a day?

Most low carb diets start out with an induction diet and you don't eat more then 20 net carbs a day. The first few days can be rough as you detox off the bad carbs but then the craving go away. As you move through the diet you up your carbs until you can't tolerate or would gain a pound. If interested go to Atkins.com they have wonderful info. This is the only diet that has helped me..

I cant have bread, Pasta, carbonated drinks, no fruits, no sugar. Only Proteins and vegetables. I lost 10lbs on that. I started myfitness pal and set my calories at 1400 but I try to keep it around 1200. I lost 5 more. I do the treadmill 2x a week right now.

I guess I won't freak out yet. I just hope they don't cancel my surgery because I'm not losing weight. I have to lose 10 pounds but I figure ill lose that while on the preop liquid diet. Its just that I'm trying and I exercise 40 mins a day on a recumbent bike, gave up soda, drink more Water etc

I had to drop to 1200 calories a day and did high Protein low carb. I never have cut out all carbs ( I refuse to cut out fruit and veggies) but I will say any white sugar/white bread and I stop losing and usually gain a pound or two even after surgery.

One day will be fine. All things in moderation. You are learning a new life style. :-) You won't gain all the weight back but you may have a blip on the scale. It's normal. Hang in there

You can have to watch calories on my Fittness pal 2000 is a lot I would go down to 1000-1200 or just try using 2 Meal Replacements and 1 meal a day with if you need a snack in between just make sure it's low calorie or sf fluids

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
