Bobo 0 Posted March 4, 2013 Hello, my name is Kim and I am 44 years old. I have been overweight for the last 10 years. I finally got tired of no energy, sleep or fun!! I was beginning to fall apart medically and so with the support of my family I had my WLS Feb 21st. I am nervous that maybe the surgery didn't work for me. I haven't experienced any dumping, no nausea or vomiting and I'm beginning to worry that maybe something didn't work for me. I am constantly hungry and have lost 11 pounds. I cannot say I have lost 11 pounds because of the WLS because I feel like I'm starving to death and I'm surprised I haven't lost more in 11 days. Am I over thinking this thing and have just been lucky or could something be wrong??

momlambert 77 Posted April 16, 2013 I had surgery in December and I've never thrown up either. I've sometimes started to feel like the dumping was starting (fast heart rate, etc) but it only lasted 15 minutes or so and then I was fine. I also can eat more than I wish I could. My loss is slower than others but I've been able to lose 55 lbs. so, even though at times I wonder if I really did have the surgery, I'm certainly glad I've lost what I have. We are all different and we get in trouble when we compare ourselves to others, I've found. We need to Celebrate our own success and you have 11 in 11 to celebrate! Good for you!
