My Dr admitted me yesterday, we are doing lots of tests and I will have to get a pic-line because my veins are all collapsing when they try to get an IV started. The fall really aggravated the pain and I am not able to eat. I am back on Clear Liquids. I'm sorry I'm not here to support you all, I'm still in a lot of pain. They did an ultrasound of he kidneys to see how big the stones are, they did an ultrasound of my legs to look for blood clots and they did a CT with IV contrast.....I am tired.... I can't wait till I am on my feet.....take care all.

Katt so sorry sound like some of what your describing with your heart sounds same as mine they called it afib it's where you can feel your heart beating fast and not regular and heart rate goes up and down they say this happens sometime from the stress of the surgery just try to relax I know easier said but just takes some deep breaths they gave me some meds to help regulate my heart you've just had so much going on it makes it very hard you just have to remember this was all done for better health I asked my cardiac dr what did I do to myself by the way the hospital dr asked what relations I had with him cause she said I was very important to him cause he could give her my 13 year history of the top of his head whole name and birthday So he said to me this was the best thing I had done for myself even with all the trouble I was having so just remember whose watching over you and knows what a special person you are and how much your family needs you just keep praying as all of us on here will to. This just makes you very tired I still have no energy and very tired all the time just want to sleep all day and night luckily my pain isn't that bad so I'm only taking Tylenol cause the Loritab just makes me feel weird and very tired

So take some deep breaths if you have Pandora on your phone put the relaxation music on it really help to relax you and just try to sleep and not worry because you have someone very special watching over you

Call me if you need to talk 678-618-8300Patricia

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
