Update!!! I did some searching and found that this topic has caused all sorts of snarkiness and negative responses. Please forgive me for bringing up the subject. On a positive note, maybe the eye-rolling will burn a few calories.

I started on soft foods on Tuesday, started Water aerobics on Wednesday. That's the good part. The bad is that I haven't lost an ounce since Monday. Did I go through all this only to stop losing this soon???

No, you are fine. You hit the famous 2-3 week out from surgery stall. Your body is just adjusting. Just hang in there and keep up the good work.

On a side note, be careful with exercise. It is so easy to reinjure yourself at this stage. I learned the hard way. :-)

Thank you!!! I didn't know about the surgery stall. It felt great to get back in the pool. I didn't do all of the exercises and felt really good. I'll go 2 days next week and then back to a regular schedule of 3 days the following week.

I'm 16 days out, went back to work full time this week, running my butt off...lost 0.2 lbs....insert my own eye roll here....I knew it would hit but still sucks!!!

Don't get discouraged.. I had a 2.5 month stall 5 months post op... I freaked... I followed everything exactly, no cheating, plenty of exercise so I increased the distance and intensity and it got me over my hump. You will do fine don't worry it will pass.

I'm 4 weeks post op monday and I experienced a gain and stall weeks 2-3.... this week, I dropped 5lbs. Stick with it and trust in the process. take progress pictures every week...it helps you see how far you have come, especially on the weeks the scale doesn't move!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
