worm2872 635 Posted February 27, 2013 Hi All, I cannot believe it has been over three months since my surgery. I am down 60 pounds overall from 275 and down 48 from surgery. My loss has been pretty steady, on the slow side, but I am OK with that since it keeps coming off. I have had some gains here and there but they don't last. My exercising is getting better. I am walking every day before work. It is not a lot but at least it is better than nothing. I am down from a 22/24 to a 14/16. Just bought some new clothes for work. I was lucky to have some horded away from before. I do get depressed some days, looking for more weight loss, missing certain foods, etc. but this is the best decision I have ever made. When I get down I go look at my size 14 jeans LOL. I am turning 41 tomorrow and I am not unhappy this year the way I was last year about my weight. It is a LONG AND HARD road but it gets easier every day. I try not to think about the future and take it one day at a time. I wrote on MFP that I carried a 50 pound bag of salt up the basement steps last week and that was struggle. Then is dawned on me that I was carrying that weight around and more. My highest weight in 1/2011 was 298. That was a real shocker to me! For the pre-op folks out there: It is worth it. If I can do this you can too. 4 mylynn1377, Wendilou, newlife4leah and 1 other reacted to this

Alexandra39 72 Posted February 27, 2013 Congrats! I'm down 60 pounds too! It feels great doesn't it. Seeing the pounds coming off also keep me motivated. I can't wait to reach my goal weight. I haven't gone shopping for clothes yet but I am going to have to soon to keep my jeans from falling off, LOL. This is definitely a long and hard road but it is well worth it. Best of Luck! Nicole K 352 Posted February 27, 2013 Congrats! I'm down 60 lbs too! It feels so good to have more energy. I do miss certain foods too, but our health is top priority, not crapy food. DOS 12/17/12 2 vachick64 and worm2872 reacted to this

Happy birthday, you should be very proud of your accomplishments! That's a fantastic idea to carry 50lbs--really shows you now much weight you were carrying around and how your joints felt lol. Best of luck for continued success and weight loss! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk / surgery date March 5, 2013
