sapperwife26 7 Posted February 27, 2013 Having trouble getting my Protein. About to try Jay Robb protein unflavored. Had anyone used it. I had WLS on jan 28 and was 236 preop and I'm 208 post. It seems slow and too little could it be because I'm not getting all my protein?
kristy3k 1,133 Posted February 27, 2013 I used J Robb for awhile.. Then the whole foods store where I got it just made it too pricey... But I liked it
ElleG 394 Posted February 27, 2013 I like Jay Robb too his Protein is good but too expensive for as much as we need.
nienie 113 Posted February 27, 2013 Are you referring to Protein in general or the drinks? ? I bought some flavors from unjury.com. I love the chicken Soup (broth) it has 100 cal and 21 gr. of protein. strawberry Sorbet is okay in crystal light lemonade.
jerz 251 Posted February 27, 2013 We had surg on the same day. I use unjury unflavored and make my own smoothies and shakes using frozen fruit. shakes using 1% milk and no sugar added hot chocolate packets. worm2872 635 Posted February 27, 2013 Actually, your weight loss looks pretty good. I have not used Hay Robb but I found Syntrax Nectar chocolate Truffle was the easiest after surgery for me. I still have it every morning. The Unjury is good too.
sapperwife26 7 Posted February 28, 2013 I just hate the grit and thickness of some Proteins. I am going to order the Unjury not that so many have said good things about it. It is cheaper than the jay Robb and I would rather try something cheaper that all if you have recommended then spend more money on a big tub of Protein that I wouldn't like later. I just worry because it's the only thing I'm failing on, is getting my protein. I know a lot if this is trial and error but I'm scared ill start putting on weight and I don't want that at all. Thank you for all your help.

Cherry 71 Posted March 28, 2013 I'm with you - I HATE PROTIEN and dislike shakes of any type. Additionally I am allergic to whey. I'm reading up on the recipies here and happy to see discussions about chkn broth! I have to weed through this all and get some info. The Vega One protien powder I use requires a large amount to reach the protien needed and it's expensive! Its all gross to me though 1 mrsb12 reacted to this
jerz 251 Posted March 28, 2013 Also core power Protein drinks are my Fav now. They're kinda expensive at about $3 a piece but no chalky or gritty texture or aftertaste. I buy mine off of Amazon. Read the reviews as well. SD:1/28/13 HW:358 SW:338 CW:
Crkrjax76 76 Posted April 4, 2013 I have found I can drink the Syntrax Nextar Roadside Lemonade with a lemonade Crystal Light packet in it. It just has to be really cold!
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted April 4, 2013 Syntrax has sample packs as well, and like said above, ice ice baby!!!! The colder they are, the less protein-y taste and smell. Crkrjax76 76 Posted April 4, 2013 Hey SoccerMomma, question! Would it help with the chocolate ones if I mix up and put in the fridge for a while? I'm really digging this lemonade, but I only had the one sample! Gotta figure out something else till I can order some!
