oh Lisa good healing vibes for a speedy recovery, what has helped me is hot lemon Water, and various hot teas sipping them throughout the day, they are never the same and I do not do sugar or anything just plain tea to help with Water intake. hopefully you find something that won't make you naseoues.

Oh, I forgot to mention - I use a really simple app on my phone to help me track how much liquid I'm drinking. It's called "Waterlogged." Might help anyone that's looking to add some more ounces to their day!

You're so sweet :). I'm in bed with my foot propped up dozing away the day. My husband has to take over dinners. Poor guy lol. Luckily I stocked up on easy things. I foresee lots of scrambled eggs and tuna fish.

Oh Sweetie feel better soon. and thanks for telling us. Very good warning. I am pretty good about getting fluids in. Not always food, but Protein and fluids and Vitamins I try very hard to get in. I have had a bad cold this week, and it has seemed harder to get the fluids in, and i want to kick myself in the butt and tell myself you need the fluids now more than ever, what is wrong with you slacking on it, so today i am trying extra hard. This is a full time job some days. Hope Hubby takes good care of you.

I went to doctor today as my UTI is back but doctor said that I am dehydrated too. So I'm drinking like a crazy woman. Feel better! :)

Don't do this. It freaking hurts!

Ouch! Heal quick! I'm working extra hard to get the liquids in. So are you dealing with hypoglycemic episodes? We're you diabetic prior to surgery? Is this why your blood pressure is dropping causing you to pass out, or just dehydration?

How far post op are you? I don't drink enough at all! It is hard to focus on anything but work throughout the day! Any signs besides dark urine you noticed before getting to the pass out point?! Scary and I wish you a speedy recovery!

I'll be three months post op tomorrow. I have never been diabetic but I've always had hypoglycemic episodes. I get lightheaded when I stand up a lot, but it passes quickly. This happened as I was walking and it just came up out if nowhere and swallowed me. I think I'm chronically dehydrated. I had three full bags of Fluid in the hospital and I peed once. I'm going to have to see my doctor to talk about how to manage this. I can't be passing out like that again.

Wow thanks for sharing! This rings as a big warning for me because I have been feeling dizzy and tired more than usual lately and I am not even drinking half of what I should be! Time to redirect focus! Good luck with recovery!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
