when should i tell a date about rny?

Recommended Posts

With my new self and a new year I got the courage to try online dating. I am talking to two guys I really like. They both want to meet in person. Both suggested drinks or dinner. I want to be honest and not hide anything so should I just tell them that dinner probably isn't the best option (because I still can only eat like 1/3 to 1/2 cup) and drinks are basically out of the question! Is it really a big deal or am I making this a big deal? Should I just tell them before the date or not?

Thanks

That's up to you. I would not tell them, if it were me. It's none of their business especially this early in the relationship. I eat out most every night. I order carefully and only eat about 1/2 of what I order. You can do this.

Why don't you suggest that you meet for a cup of coffee instead? A lot of online dates do that because it's an easy exit if it doesn't work out. If it does workout then you can go elsewhere from there.

I honestly wouldn't tell them nada. It's my business not there's & like mention above you can go out for a cup of cafe you don't have to drink or have dinner to have a good time to get to know one another.

I told my online date on the first date and we've been living together for 1 1/2 years now but it's up to you when and if you tell them

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
