That was the first time passing since the morning of surgery. About to puree eggs and ham how lovely.but i feel fine still. Well see how Breakfast goes. But the ham is tasting pretty good. I'm shocked. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using RNYTalk
Lauren379 3 Posted April 13, 2013 So' date=' did any one elses surgeon try to get them to change from RNY to the sleeve? My doctor seemed quite persistent, though said the choice was mine, and it didn't seem to bother him that I choose the RNY. He kept going on about doing a fabulous single incesion through the belly button, but seriously, I have a road-map on my stomach from 3 pregnancies, so regardless of how much weight I lose, I will never be showing my bare stomach in public. I am wondering if maybe he just wanted more practice doing the single incesion, lol.[/quote'] My surgeon did the same thing at my first appt. kept telling me I could do just fine with a sleeve instead of RNY. I listened to him but felt the RNY was still the best option. When I went for my preop appt last week I schedule surgery, he didn't seem bothered at all with what I chose. I do think you're right that they just want more practice with the sleeve. The coordinator of my program said it's like the "new" thing they're trying to get people to do. For me, it just didn't have enough proven benefits. Now surgery is Tuesday!!! Can't wait! Good luck to you! 1 anm1063 reacted to this

I already had the band so my doctor said I may not be successful with the sleeve since it is also just a restrictive procedure. My prior band surgeon and my new surgeon suggested the rny. So rny it was. I tried to stop my pain meds yesterday and was a bit uncomfortable. I ended up taking them last night because I couldn't sleep. I was groggy this morning, but feel much better now. I am going to try to help my friend find a dress at the mall today. It will be my first time wearing real clothes since the surgery. Hope it goes well. Going to try not to take pain meds today again. MrsLulu 69 Posted April 14, 2013 I am doing the Premier Protein as well. It tastes the closest to chocolate milk and not a chalky aftertaste or thick. Plus, it has 30 grams of Protein for each shake which is great. I have had no issues with it, and I got it from Sam's club.
