I have a catalog that has both WonderSlim and BariWise products; shakes, drinks etc. Has anyone tried either of these? How are they?

Hahahaha you got to love the taste of those Protein shakes! YUCK How far are you out of surgery? I am actually 5 years out of surgery and it was a total success. I started at 295 lbs and went down to 142! I was thrilled. I then had a baby and since have went back up to 178. During the 1st year of my post op I tried every shake possible! Then I was drinking the one Body By Vi shake everyday. It's filled with Protein and Fiber... so low in sugar and made with soy so it obviously was perfect for no sugar and milk made me sick. I recently started back up on the shakes last month and have lost 11 pounds in a month. I am drinking 2 a day and I am so happy that Im bringing it back down! I even believe in it so much that I have a ton of my friends and family doing it as well that didn't have a Gastric Bypass and I now am a supplier for it. I can give you all the information if you would like' date=' show you pictures, all kinds of stuff! Let me know if you want to talk about it... with everything we have been through I love helping people if I can! nlytle@hotmail.com is my email![/quote']

Surgery is April 22nd. I ordered a bunch of samples from a few different sites. I actually don't mind the taste,so far, of any I have tried. Ordered a few more sample packs today, so I should be set for awhile. It is great to hear a positive story! I only hope I am as successful as you!

I ordered a ton of these. The reviews I read ( and there were a lot of reviews ) convinced me to order sample packs. I also ordered full boxes of products. My surgery isn't until the 14 th. since everyone has pretty much said your taste buds change I am going to wait to try post op. if you are looking at Bariatric Choice.com they also have a great rewards program.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
