3 weeks out & STARVING

Recommended Posts

I thought something was wrong with me. I was two days shy of 4 weeks post op before my left side quit hurting. I just woke up that morning and the pain was gone. I was starting to feel like a wimp bc everyone else seems fine after a week but I finally figured out I can't compare myself to others. I was hurting and they weren't but it didn't matter about everyone else. It mattered that I was hurting.

I took pain meds at night only for over 3 weeks and I needed it. Some people don't I'm happy for them but I needed it.

Good luck to you. I hope the pain subsides soon.

I am 2 weeks post op and my side is killing me also. I can't sleep at night. This is bad news to hear that this discomfort could last another coue weeks. I am ready to go walking so that I can help push my wl along.

Nobody ever got fat eating salmon.

Except for grizzly bears...:)

Seriously, it's kind of a relief to hear how common that left sided hitch/pain is. My incision side there (lap GB) also has a HUGE dent there, and a lump that is slowly getting smaller.

Mine had a dent as well. I hurt for 3 weeks and 4 days. It was like instantly. I got up that morning and it didn't hurt so I thought it would start up later but it never did. I was so miserable and scared I would hurt like that forever. Now I'm fine. No pain.

Grizzly bears....haha...I guess you're right about that. Lol. But really salmon is an excellent Protein choice, typically well tolerated by post-op tummies.

Rich with Omega 3's and delicious.
