My doc requires only puréed Protein for 2 weeks post op. He wants it to come primarily from natural sources, so not too many shakes. Just had beef and gravy baby food for lunch. Not too bad with a little salt. 8 grams of protein. Is anyone else using baby food?

How many grams of protein does he want you getting in a day? After making and serving purees for 12 years at my old job i don't know how I'm going to stomach it.

this is what you work up to.

3 ounces of Protein, 3 meals a day. Protein can include

Puréed chicken, beef, pork, turkey, eggs

Fat free cottage cheese

Fat free, sugar free regular or Greek yogurt

Supplement (15-30gms protein, less than 7 gms carbs)
