Interesting! I just read a bunch of stuff on their website and I am thinking I'd like to try them. Right now I use Isopure and I mix half a bottle with some Water to dilute it so that I can spread it out during the day to keep me from being hungry.

My nut says not to consume more than 20g of Protein at one time because you won't actually get the benefits if you have more. Since these seem to be a little higher than that, I might make two diluted drinks from it.

The other thing to be careful of is that one of the flavors has caffeine. My doc doesn't allow caffeine, but if yours does, it won't matter for you.

I looked on their website and they use a hydrolyzed whey Protein. Check with your nut. In reading on the hydrolyzed protein most docs and nuts seem to be against them but I've read some posts where their doc and nut gives them the OK.

Thank you so much for your input! I saw the ingredients say whey Protein isolate so I tried it... its like a super sweet thick concentrated syrup... after two swallows I was immediately full. Lol. It's too thick to stomach...errr... pouch rather... I'll continue my hunt for the right protein for me...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
