I add my Protein to my Decaf coffee. Tastes much better. Just make sure to mix protein with a little Water and mix' date=' before adding. Perfect way to get protein in.[/quote']

That's a great idea. It would act as sweetener and Creamer right?

Cecelia how did it takes for your pains to go?

I'm three weeks out as of yesterday haven't been able to walk more than 15 minutes. When I do I'm exhausted. Even after a shower I'm exhausted. My pain has gotten more tolerable but neither Tylenol or Lortab touched the pain. Mostly the weird part is its like i cant have anything touching my skin by my pain areas.....Doc let me do 48 hours of Motrin that helped and they wrote a script for ultram which I hope helps the rest of this pain. I'm suppose to go back to work on the 5th starting half days i have a sitting job so im hoping it will go well. I'm going to venture out Friday to treat myself to mani/pedi.

I think I may be one of the exceptions... I was off narcotics by day 4 and off Tylenol the next day. However, before you feel jealous, I think I'm one of the slow losers... this happened to me too when I did Atkins many years ago and lost 80 lbs. They came off soooo slooooow! Geez. My body doesn't like to part with its fat!

I ate a scrambled fresh egg with a slice of cheese melted on it! Well not the whole thing- but over half of it! It was DELISH! I'm on the second stage full liquids, I don't know if an egg is part of the menu but I made it and it was yum and no side effects from it yet! Was a nice change up!

I'm so jealous! Scrambled eggs sit very poorly with me. I did find out I can eat an egg if it's in egg drop Soup, which is fun to make. So that's how I get my eggs... Still I miss scrambled eggs!

That and my back is soo sore it feels like I was smashed in the middle of my back with a baseball bat.

My back felt awful for almost a whole week. I don't know if it had to do with the positioning during surgery or if it was gas escaping, but geez! I was glad to be done with that! Also, I did feel a stitch-like pain for the first week or two, but that has mostly gone away too. I hope it goes the same for you!

Surgery date: 2/14

Lost 35 pounds already! !! Feeling really good. I just get tired easy. I'm lucky to get 500 calories a day. So I run out of steam quick.

Congratulations!!! I lost 15 pounds the first week, and it's been a pound every 2-3 days since. And that's considering I've added walking daily in this last week. Like I said earlier, I'm a slow loser!

On the bright side, I have 4 pair of jeans in my closet, and all but the tightest pair is looking baggy on me. When that last pair gets baggy, I get to break into my smaller clothes sizes (yes, I have a stash of multi-sized clothes from all the weight loss/gain cycles)

I am wiped out!!! Spent the weekend camping in freezing weather with cub scouts, down in the mid 20's at night (thank god for the electric blanket!!!). I am so tired and sore (I'm guessing from sleeping on the ground). I need a weekend to recover from my weekend!!!!

So glad our entire group of Fabulous February's are finally on the flip side!!!! Can't wait to see what the next few months holds for all of us :)

This morning my husband was fixing link sausages and scrambled eggs. I took 1 sausage and about 1/4 c of scrambled egg!! I cut in tiny tiny bites and chewed chewed chewed and all went WELL!! I won't press my luck but it was fun having a real little breakfast!!

I've been fixing maltomeal and adding my vanilla cinnamon swirl Protein Powder to it (22 g per scoop) and that's been my go to when I know I better eat, prob eat that 2x a day. I half the smallest serving size!

I am allowed to eat cheerios (dry). I have found that they sit well on my tummy and give me a much needed energy boost.

Yes. They are great. They pretty much melt in your mouth so they are super easy on the tummy. Very satisfying.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
