chrissy1147 21 Posted March 8, 2013 Ok so tomorrow I go for my one week post op appointment ' date=' although its been 10 days since my surgery. I'm excited to see how he thinks I'm doing. According to my scale I have lost 25 pounds, but nothing more for the last couple of days. I think I'm gonna start weighing only once a week. Has anyone been prescribed medicine to prevent gall stones ? I was told by a Nurse friend of mine that it was recommended for weight loss surgery patients because the rapid weight loss can cause them ? I am gonna ask my surgeon . Surgery date 2/26/13[/quote'] I started taking a pill twice a day called actigall it prevents the formation of gall stones

clt 3 Posted March 8, 2013 Ok so I asked my surgeon about prevention medicine for gall stones and he said he would not recommend it for me. He said rapid weight loss can cause them but its not very common. He said the side effects of the medication is worse than the risk of developing gall stones. So no medication for me . I am a jeans and sweats kinda girl. I feel absolutely rediculous wearing a dress and heels. I have no self confidence in dressing sexy. Help!!!
