Haha. The underwear rolling down just made me giggle because that was always happening to me. I always thought it was just me. I was constantly pulling my underwear up!

I put on a shirt about 3 weeks post op that was so tight before surgery and it fit so nicely. That's when I really noticed that I was losing, because even now at 8 weeks I still can't really see it on myself, but others comment.

I've also noticed my pants are getting bigger, and not just jeans, but my yoga pants that I've LIVED in are getting baggy in the thigh area. I'm going to have to shop soon I think

For me the first big thing that made me smile was that I could look down and see my feet. I usually avoided scales and would measure my success of weight loss by how much of my feet I could see in the shower. After my surgery I looked down a was surprised I could see so much of my feet.

I can relate. I love looking down and seeing my feet and seeing boobs not boobs and a big roll :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
