sleevemeup 41 Posted February 12, 2013 As luck would have it, I am scheduled for this Thursday. Last Friday, my son tore up his knee and most likely will be having surgery next week. He is a pro with crutches, so I will not need to totally care for him, just bring food and liquids. I usually rebound really quick from surgeries, but this one is certainly different (I think). My husband can always stay home, and I do have family and friends close by to call. Any suggestions? I really don't want to re-schedule for a 4th time... litlsisred 20 Posted February 12, 2013 I don't think you will have a problem. I was up and around rather quickly after my surgery. The main thing is that for the first little while you can't lift anything. Ask your Doc what they think.
sleevemeup 41 Posted February 12, 2013 I wouldn't be able to lift him anyway. He's 6'1". I figure I can carry a gatorade and a bowl of food to him! I just hope it goes like all of my other surgeries! 1 Tim Sebora reacted to this
lili2012 85 Posted February 12, 2013 It will go fine. I went back to work in less than a week, so you can do it. Go for it Sent from my Galaxy S III using RNYTalk

Aimee 17 Posted February 13, 2013 I did really good after surgery. I was up and walking the same night and walked a lot when I got home. I think you would be fine. Good luck!
sleevemeup 41 Posted February 13, 2013 Thank you! I really don't want to change my date again. I could always have my husband stay home for a few days!
BBdoodle 483 Posted February 13, 2013 You should be fine but if something hurts too much please don't do it. I was back to work in 1 week, I had surgery on a Monday and back to work the following monday. I worked 1/2 day in the office and 1/2 day at home. I think with me getting up and moving around and getting ready for work made me heal faster and get back to normal faster. If something did not feel right I did not do it. Good luck
