I know, I know lol-I am improving if slowly but surely lol. I went to my first support group meeting on the importance of Water. Apparently it is very important and helps you flush out fat and stuff...

I have a Facebook https://www.facebook.com/amanda.randolph.568 is the link.

I did go to the store, didn't buy any junk. Bought some chicken breast, cheese that was 2%, skim milk, and fat free raviolis. I'm not sure anymore what to have as a side when I make stuff. I hate veggies....any ideas?

It's cold here too.. Suppose to be in the 30s tomorrow. I've been walking about 30 minutes a day..using runkeeper-that app is the s&*t lol. Calculates how fast your going, elevation, keeps your progress for you, etc.

I didn't get to walk today, I am hoping to tomorrow, depends on how cold it is.

I'll have to look you up on facebook!

Is anybody having surgery In August?

I would like a diet buddy ;)

I am hoping for late August or early September. I have to wait until then because I am not eligible for fmla with my job until then. It feels like forever.

I know what you mean, it does seem forever, but being this way for 6 extra months is better than the rest of our lives

I'm hoping for a mid-July date. I'd like to have a few weeks to adjust to everything before school starts again.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
