Thanks! I come from the mindset that low carb (only from veggies) and high Protein with good fats works. So some fat from milk is a-ok by me. Not a milk drinker anyhow!

I had a fruit and a Protein yogurt for Breakfast

3oz deli ham and 1/2c of cottage cheese for lunch. Dealing with a Migraine from the weather right now so going to take a nap. I'm looking forward to some steamed cauliflower for dinner (snack option) and some protein yogurt.

I am having my last supper today. Chinese food yum!

Tomorrow I started my doctors two week preop diet. 4 Protein Shakes a day and 1 meal a day of:

4oz Protein, 2 nonstarchy vegetables, 1 fat and two servings of fruit. Then sugar free Jello, drinks and Popsicles. Seems mine is a much easier pre diet then most.

On the 3rd day of preop diet! I feel I'm doing really well. I've lost 8# and I should be starting my period any day! I feel like I'm on speed, not tired, just on the go!! I'm having a Protein shake and fruit for Breakfast, 3oz turkey and 1/2c cottage cheese and a bowl of Jello for lunch.

Tonight I can either have another Protein Shake and fruit or 3oz meat with yogurt or cottage cheese- oh the choices!!

Oh last night I had a huge bowl of steamed cauliflower (a free food) with 3oz ham- maybe that's what tonight will be but broccoli and ham!! Mmmmmm

7 days on preop- down 14#

I found a Decaf, no sugar peach tea to add to Water and drank two 33 oz bottles (1 packet per 33 oz) and was up all night with heartburn! Yuck.

I'm cleaning out my lower kitchen cabinets today. Organizing, cleaning, decluttering. Trying to keep my mind from wondering to what Wednesdays surgery will be like. Laundry, floors, bathrooms will be up next. I look around my house and wonder if anything happens to me what will my husband do with all my stuff/furniture. We married in 2011 so basically I do have a lot of my own stuff. Have to stop thinking like that....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
