shaleesun 33 Posted February 9, 2013 How long did everyone sleep with there head elevated after surgery? I remember my nut telling me to sleep with 2-3 pillows behind my head or in the recliner, but don't remember for how long. I am one that normally doesn't sleep with a pillow and I am sick of the recliner! I am 1.5 week post op.
worm2872 635 Posted February 9, 2013 I hated it too but I was in the recliner for about a week and a half after surgery. Even then the bed was tough. Some have no issues with the bed after surgery. I was never told I had to be propped up it just felt much better. Plus I could have my heating pad. The worlds greatest invention :-).

sleevemeup 41 Posted February 9, 2013 I always have my head somewhat elevated. I got used to it when I had bad sinus problems and now, I can't sleep flat. I am also a side sleeper. I think you need to do what is comfortable for you!
