vbgirl264 28 Posted February 7, 2013 I'm in the soft food phase and were wondering about pickles. Are we allowed to have them?
tzbandtobypass 48 Posted February 7, 2013 I had soft food class yesterday and I was told we could use Pickle Juice to add flavor to stuff but no actual pickles until 6 weeks. Every doc is different though, so you should ask your office just to make sure!

hockeymumzie 181 Posted February 7, 2013 It's amazing to see what everyone classifies a clear and full liquid, soft diets and what you would eat for a puree. After working in a hospital for 12 years with special diets for every type of patient, nursing home and dementia residents. I tend to take a double look at what is posted and go wow. But if that is what the nut says to have then you have the clearance. Jessie 1 Tim Sebora reacted to this

hockeymumzie 181 Posted February 7, 2013 Yep no skin, seeds, nuts. No caffeine, pepper, or spicy seasonings. I love seeds but they don't love me. Jessie
michelecaples 224 Posted February 8, 2013 Pickles have a lot of sodium and can dry you out and also dehydrate, but I love a slice now and then
mommytonya 77 Posted February 8, 2013 Actually picklejuice has electrolytes in it and can help hydrate. When my hubby played football thwy would have them drink a little before and after it also helps with muscle cramps after a workout. By no means should it replace Water obviously but just in case u get a cramp lol
hockeymumzie 181 Posted February 8, 2013 After hockey games we give our girls chocolate milk for the muscles but surely i will settle for a choc Protein Shake after i have my surgery
