Magic Bullet... recipes anyone?

Recommended Posts

I am so happy... my dad just came back from costco and he got the magic bullet for me, I had only mentioned it once that it would be great to have for my pureed food, shakes, etc, and he just got it for me, so thoughtful of him. So anyway, besides the many recipes that come along with the bullet, can anyone share useful recipes for post-op stages? I already used it for my dinner Protein Shake, it is great!!!

I am pre-op, scheduled for March 11... can't wait!

So, recipes anyone?

Thanks!

I find that I don't like my shakes done in the bullet as it adds a lot of air to the shake. Frothy was great pre-op but post-op my tummy didn't like it at all.

I am 3 weeks and a few days post op. I just started making my Protein Shakes in my bullet. The frothy makes it even better to me!!! It's creamy like a milkshake. Mmmm

I've only used it to purée canned Soups, but the texture of that didn't go over well with me. So I use it for Protein Drinks.< /p>

the frothy part adds air to the shake and can give you tummy troubles.... used mine to puree my foods and was fine... it is the adding bubbles to the milk that didn't settle well

Our dads think alike. My dad just bought me one a few days ago. I use it mainly for fruit smoothies. Some frozen strawberries, mango (any fruit) a little Splenda, a splash of Water and a scoop of Protein powder. I also make milkshake kinds with ice, sf hit chocolate mix and a scoop of Protein Powder. U can add banana or Peanut Butter too.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
