Steak-Ummm's: YUMMM!

Recommended Posts

Praise Jesus! I finally found a meat I can eat that tastes good and stays down. chicken just aint cutting it right now, and hamburger is bit and miss.

I remember eating Steak-Ummm's as far back as middle school (when I was on the Atkins diet with my mom). They're thin, tasty, quick to prepare, and have 5 grams of Protein per slice. I put a little salt and a teeny bit of ketchup in it and its deelish!

Thanks for sharing.. I am still pre-op but I feel like I am nesting LOL! I just went shopping today (36 days before surgery) and got the Isopure drinks to try the flavors and kind of start knowing what I will like (although I've heard taste and preferences change after surgery) so I don't want to over-stock but I can't help the feeling of wanting to be as prepared as possible. I bought low sugar apple juice, white grape juice, chicken and beef fat free - low sodium broth, Isopure drinks (grape, fruit and raspberry) they have 40g of Protein per bottle.

What else would you suggest I stock up with?

Sf Jello & Popsicles, sf pudding, cream of wheat, truvia, oatmeal(not instant, old school in red cylinder container). Fat free milk or soy or almond milk (silk), and travel drinking bottles with no straw.... ...

Off the top of my head :-)
