Just curious. I am 3 weeks out...I've tried chicken, soft lean beef in chili, eggs, refried Beans, Soups, potatos. I stick to the idea of no higher than 6-7 grams of sugar and no more than 10 grams of fat, if that. If I WAS going to have the dumping syndrome...would I know it by now?? I tolerate everything I've tried perfectly.

I'm over 3 months out and only feel it if I have too high sugar content or eat too much. I don't throw up--get very nauseous, lethargic, dizzy headed, go pale

I'm 6 weeks out and (luckily, thankfully) have never experienced dumping. Only about 50% of people do. It's a blessing & a curse because it makes you feel invincible. You will inevitably feel discomfort at some point, we all have, but like my nutritionist told me-- just consider yourself one of the lucky ones :)

I am ten weeks out and have a cast Iron stomach for the most part. I will get a little queasy but that's it. About a week or so ago I deliberately ate 1/2 of a huge oatmeal whoopie pie/gob and NOTHINIG! I was hoping that much sugar would trigger dumping. I am lucky but want the that fear since sugar is my weakness. Nope. BUT I did get extremely tired/fatigued the next day. I passed it off until I had a little too much sugar the other day and had mild fatigue the following day. Weird but it helps since I don't want to feel like crap.

Well Im 2 weeks out and have no dumping syndrome but Im not thankful. Atleast that would of made me stay away from the wrong foods or on a day I would want to cheat that would of stopped me. Thats just my opinion but Im gonna do my best.

It's easy to understand your feelings but there is no scientific evidence that folks who experience dumping are any more (or less) successful than those who don't. As noted above, about half of all RNY patients never experience dumping. Stay focused on following the protocol, stay active, and stay away from the scales. You're gonna love the new you!!

I am one of those less fortunate patients who DO have the dumping syndrome anytime I consume sugar or eat just one bite too much. Even milk (sadness) can make me ill. it's absolutely the most miserable i have ever ever felt in my life. I did manage to eat super yesterday, and NO SICKNESS!!! It seriously felt like a miracle. I am 8 weeks out as of Wednesday so it was SO SO NICE to not be sick while trying to go to sleep.

I guess it has its ups and downs. Today I ate an egg with cheese and I did not dump but it made me miserable I felt so full as if I had eatten a whole buffet and started sweeting. I will not eat a whole egg again maybe half.

FYI I know it's different than most people on here but my doc says no scrambled eggs or omelette til 3-4 months out.....okay for eggs shredded in tuna salas and such. He says he has more problems with people and eggs than almost anything else. Just a thought!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
