della street 213 Posted May 13, 2019 I was 59 when I had bypass surgery; this was a little over 4 years ago. I'm down approx 150-160 lbs from a high of 390. Staying steady -- :O) 1 allies journey reacted to this
CindeeAT 19 Posted May 13, 2019 There is absolutely nothing wrong. Stalls are normal and discouraging! Hang in there! I'm 52 and had a RNY revision from a sleeve. My loss is definitely slower than when I had the sleeve. My doc says that age and being a revision definitely plays a part in seeing slower weight loss. It WILL come off if you follow your plan. I'm 52 years RNY revision on March 12 nearly 8 weeks out I stalled for a full 2.5 weeks starting on week 2! I cried daily after the first week! Doc said that it was because I was starving at only 300 calories per day and that the loss would start when I was able to add more foods. It did...my loss is slow and steady and I only weigh once per week. Surgery weight: 235 Current weight: 210 1 1 claricey and allies journey reacted to this

Once I hit 6 weeks out it started coming off slowly again. It IS the most frustrating thing I’ve dealt with. But if you follow your surgeon/nutritionist ‘s guidelines your body catch up!!! Princesswife 2 Posted May 14, 2019 I’ll be 54 in June I had my RNY a week ago today! I feel great! Everything I feared was for nothing. I was prepared for the worst, but got the best. So angry at myself for not doing this sooner. I’m type 2 diabetic. Was on a pump. Came home without the pump, BP meds at 1/2, and no other diabetes meds or cholesterol meds!! 1 1 allies journey and claricey reacted to this
