I am also 2 weeks post and today was my first semi normal meal. Purée if you call that normal. I had broiled salmon for dinner. Only eating approx. 1oz. I do not get the full feeling until about 15 mins after I eat. But, I am do afraid of vomiting I steer away from being full. By the way the salmon tasted heavenly.

I was about 3 weeks out when the feeling of full hit. at 11 weeks out now, I get hungry from time to time, but mostly have to remind myself to eat. your stomach is still healing and when the nerves come back, you will know it. :-)

Same here. Infact I posted last night askin the exact same thing! I feel hungry a tiny bit late afternoon. But I never feel full. I watch very closely how much I eat at a time. But I'm truly not Full.

I was reminded the nerves in our pouch are not awake for several weeks.

I'm seven weeks out and have still never felt full or that I've over eaten. No pressure, no pain. It's scary. I have to really watch my portions. Good thing is that a) after one bite I'm nauseous so I don't feel like over eating B) I am never really hungry... Just experience low blood sugar

Fullness in.the beginning feels like a pressure in your ribcage or a slught twinge there. You wont feel filled up in your belly for a few months

I am three months post op and at first I felt pressure when I was full. Now I get sorta hungry and its not really full but the hunger goes away. If I eat a spoonful more than my portion I am very nauseous, to the point I dry heave, sometimes vomit. I struggle with the mental adjustment of not eating the last bite or thinking the portion is so small. So right now I am working on recognizing the absence of hunger and leaving the rest when that comes, no more cleaning your plate! Lol

I have just been eating shrimp and occasionally fish, I can't do chicken or tuna or eggs =\ I'm 3 weeks out and wonder if 4 pieces really well chewed is too much. I don't get a full feeling or vomit. Is this normal?

You're just fine girlfriend, it's not too much, just focus on how fast you eat, remember how macerated your food gets once you chew it 30 times and swallow, your pouch can handle it, nerve endings don't wake up fully for a few months after surgery, then you'll feel full and hungry, it just takes time for your body to get over the shock.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
