I am 2 years post op and have hit many stalls along the way. I suggest the 5 day pouch test and push yourself into calorie burning zone in workouts. Cals in...cals out! It is normal and it will change. Things take time, but don't get discouraged...you can do it!!

If you follow the plan you will lose the weight. Remover we are all different and our bodies are different. Couple of suggestions for you:

Make sure you are getting your Protein and Water in.

Stay on target with your exercise

Stop weighing yourself all the time - trust me I know this is hard.

Finally every time I have had a stall I still lost inches.

Keep your spirits high the weight will come off!!

I am 9 weeks post op and I have stalled for the past 4 weeks. I have lost 1kg in 4 weeks..thats not enough after what I went through..I am feeling very frustrated and disillusioned at the moment. I am eating right, drinking Water, and every day the same or up a bit or down a bit...I dunno what to do.

I have been in a stall for 5 weeks but I am focused on the long-term and thus do not worry about it.

I have had 2 stalls so far. The last one lasting 4 weeks. December 24 I weighed 234 that was week I had to go back to hospital for 5 days. When I got out I had lost to 224 that was in December 29. Didn't lose anymore until January 25 that was to 221 just 3 pounds and now this week to 217. But I probably will stall again now for a week or so. That's how it seems to be working lose up to 10 then stall a few weeks

I hit a stall every 10 lbs or so, lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. Just keep working your plan, the weight will come off. I spent 47 years being obese, now I'll spend a couple years getting to my goal, thats not so bad.

I am 6 1/2 months and have stalled for 6 weeks, I was sick 2 weeks ago and that didn't even help. Haven't been exercising like I should be. With the superbowl tomorrow I plan on getting back on the plan come Monday!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
