Now that I am on puree foods, I am having trouble keeping stuff down. the things I can keep down are applesauce, yogurts, mashed potatoes (kinda getting tired of it, no matter what I put on them) tuna fish (sometimes, had a bad episode today) I have tried chicken and turkey and even baby foods....is there anyone else having a problem in this area? (eggs, Protein Shakes, broth are a no go for me....) I want to make sure I am getting in my Proteins but it just seems like nothing is agreeing with my new pouch. I will be making an appt with my Doctor, but would love some advice from you guys thanks!

All I can say is at the 3-4 week mark for me I was the same way. I lived on yogurt, cheese, crackers (not on plan but they helped my stomach) and only nectar chocolate Truffle Protein Shake. Talk with your Dr. It will pass. It is very frustrating but it is the healing process.

Yes very frustrating :( I just made an appt....with my doctor, and I made a call to my surgeons office) I know the healing part is tough but I hear of other people and their success and having no issues (and I understand we are all different) but it seems all I have is complaints. I just can not wait until I reach the point of comfort. :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
