lovealways 287 Posted January 29, 2013 So I just tried my first scrambled egg at 2 weeks out and loved it. My question is, is it bad I can get in 1 full egg this early out? (Minus a bite left) I notice now though that I'm pretty stuffed. My sense of fullness seems to be a little delayed lol as it was pre-op too.
vbgirl264 28 Posted January 29, 2013 I just had eggs this morning and it was my first food and I was able to eat all 1/4 of it and it took me a lil to realize I was full. I had burp when I finished eating, sorry I'd that tmi lol.
music1618 879 Posted January 29, 2013 I stay away from eggs as it was the first food I tried as a solid. I tried to eat them too soon after surgery and they all came up. Kind puts you of eggs for a while. 1 Natasha K reacted to this
lmcgloon 127 Posted January 29, 2013 i liked eggs pre-op, but for some reason during weeks 3 & 4 post-op all I wanted to eat was eggs. I craved them morning noon and night haha. Your sense of fullness won't be immediate, which is why we have to eat slow, but getting in a whole egg isn't bad. Glad you were able to enjoy it, it was my first solid food too 1 lovealways reacted to this
Wdwfreak 41 Posted January 30, 2013 I saw my nut today and she said 1 egg at this stage was totally fine (I am 1 week post-op). Egg beaters are on my list, but I hate the taste and texture, so she said I could do 1 egg instead.

SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted January 30, 2013 That so funny. Minus fried stuff sweet stuff, etc, I'm supposed to be back on regular foods at 2 months post op....except scrambled eggs....that is the ONLY food my doc says to wait til 3 months for!!! Yet how many of you use it as one if your first solids??? The differences in pre and post op diets from doc to doc crack me up!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 251, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 251 1 lovealways reacted to this

laurelgurl26 1 Posted January 30, 2013 I was told only one egg per week cause it was bad for the pouch but as much egg beater as wanted he said cause of the cholesterol What are they supposed to do to the pouch?? I don't eat them much simply because I hardly ever eat Breakfast. I just don't get hungry till about 10 each day. I have a little oj to keep sugar normal. But really bad on pouch?? ladyspl 161 Posted January 30, 2013 I tried scrambled at 2 weeks and after one bite I was sick. So I waited. I tried again at 4 weeks, still sick. Fastforward to week 8 and am good with them, but I have actually changed tastes and prefer sunnyside up now, when I loved scrambled before. They were my almost every day Breakfast LOL

I will be living off of them b/c of the Protein content and low calories.
