katiemay0101 26 Posted January 28, 2013 I was on Protein shakes for 2 weeks post-op. Just started my soft food/pureed period for a week. I eat scrambled eggs (my pouch wouldn't tolerate hard boiled) greek yogurt, Peanut Butter, cottage cheese, popsickles. I was told not to eat Soups. Especially cream soups because they are slider foods and will not stay in your tummy. I made what I call noodleless lasagna with some ricotta cheese, an egg, some parmigian cheese and some spaghetti sauce. It is really yummy. This site has some great ideas. http://www.froedtert.com/SpecialtyAreas/BariatricSurgeryProgram/Recipes/ Good luck
vbgirl264 28 Posted January 28, 2013 Personally I am starting with a scrambled egg and I think blended chicken salad for lunch. I found a recipe that replaces the mayo with Greek yogurt. And blended chili for dinner. The other things on my list I could choice from we're low sugar yogurts, sugar free pudding, blended meats, tuna salad, egg salad, cream of wheat, rice, or oatmeal. lovealways 287 Posted January 28, 2013 I am 2 weeks out tomorrow and will FINALLY (I repeat, FINALLY) be able to have some food...even if it is pureed. I was told to stay away from cream-based Soups, so I will be pureeing a lot of minestrone chicken noodle type soups as well as lentil Soup. I will also be having scrambled eggs tomorrow and very mashed egg salad with FF mayo. I also plan on having butternut squash mashed real good and mashed potatoes. I don't plan on blenderizing EVERYTHING, because that's nasty, but I plan on doing what I can, and then just chewing chewing chewing the soft foods to an almost pureed consistency. I tried greek yogurt, and I loved it before surgery, but it seems to sweet for me. I just want SALT!!

Its all about calories...and food quantities as you move out further from surgery. log your food-and be mindful of your quantities. I like to do Soup first then 4 oz of meat or fish. (Which stays)
