I have always says that I am not dumping because I've only thrown up once. Now I am realizing they I might be dumping in the sense of a slight tummy ache, feeling weak, dizzy, feeling nauseated, and even sweating.

This happens after I eat sometimes, but I don't feel as if I'm over eating because I'm not eating over 6oz. That is the amount my nutritionist said I should be able to eat.

Help if you have some input or have experienced this.

Thanks

Those are the usually dumping symptoms I get. Are you not tolerating something? Maybe dairy or too much sugar? Or do you get those feelings after every meal. I don't get those symptoms for eating too much, I get more of a chest pain when I eat to much and feel like vommiting. The symptoms above I get more because of the food I had eaten. I would try to pin point what it is that is giving you those symptoms? Usually for me it is sugar, but I also get sick on milk (but not cheese), and some Protein Shakes, on tuna and really bad on Peanut Butter.< /p>

Thanks for responding My Time to Lose, you might be right. It's probably what I'm eating not how much, and that makes plenty of sense. I am one that has sensitivity to sugar, and I had about 2oz of kool aid. Yes, ok now I'm not suppose to drink and eat, but I only drink a very small amount. I just poured the kool aid cause its what I had prepared for the family.

The food I ate was about 2oz spaghetti with ground beef.

Pasta and carby foods make me dump. I do not puke when I dump. I am weak' date=' dizzy, and sonetimes irritable sweaty abd nauseated[/quote']

Michele I think I need to pay closer attention to how carbs and my body interact. That might be an issue as well.

Thanks

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
