NycGal 16 Posted January 26, 2013 Was wondering about the required diet/weigh in-s at primary dr's. I am getting a different answer every time I call them. 1 person tells me they only require 3 months of supervised diet. yesterday I decide to call again to double check because I have completed 4 months of weigh-ins , and then that person I spoke to says it is 6 months..aaaaaggggghhhhhh. So my question is has anyone recently gotten approval with Cigna and did you do 6 months of the diet? Thanks, Valerie

NycGal 16 Posted January 26, 2013 If you don't mind me asking how long did they take to approve after you submitted?
jessouder 44 Posted January 28, 2013 I have Cigna. It took about a week to get approved however I had doctors notes from the past year showing I had tried to lose weight and I had to get a psych eval as well. My first appointment with surgeon was 10/18/12 & surgery was 11/27/12. 6 weeks. Helps to have awesome staff at your surgeons office!
