gc> 50 Posted January 25, 2013 I thought I was going to save all sorts of money each week because I was not going to eat as much as what was once normal. I am eating less. But the truth is that I buy many items, stick them in the fridge, eat a bit of each item, put them back in the fridge and eventually throw the item out because it is no longer fresh [expired or look expired]. This morning I threw out 4 half-eaten containers of cottage cheese or yoghurt. Anyone have a solution to this quandary? 1 Teka2011 reacted to this
JustJenn 542 Posted January 25, 2013 I don't have a solution because I am dealing with the same thing! Maybe if we buy the smaller containers vs Bigger package and finish all of the small. I don't know. .::SurgeryDate 7/25/12::.

worm2872 635 Posted January 25, 2013 My husband always eats whatever I dont finish so I have my own built in garbage disposal. LOL I was just thinking this. And then there are the dogs. They all love my doggy bags. I will say I had this problem more at the beginning trying to figure out what the heck to eat. Now, I can eat all the yogurt so there is less waste. lmcgloon 127 Posted January 26, 2013 This has been a problem in my house too, especially since I hate leftovers but my husband cringes anytime extra food gets tossed. I'm hoping its a temporary thing too because its been quite the waste of money when I thought I'd be saving so much too. I'm finding I'm spending more though because I'm buying new things and trying new foods. I guess like everything else in life after wls, this too shall pass. litlsisred 20 Posted January 26, 2013 I find that I often freeze the leftover food so that I can use it as a quick meal another day. That and using the small portion cups sold at sam's to have them ready to go. I have 4 kids so they often take the things that I find that I don't like. I see that I am spending much less on food than I did in the past....
Cyn 21 Posted January 30, 2013 I thought the same thing, especially since one day I can stomach one thing , thee next day I can not , so I have half eaten things all over the place, feel bad and wasteful! I do not see a solution to this at all ..... my kitties are not fans of human food.< /p> Cyn-shakiraa-*12/17/12*Sent from my mobile Rnytalk.
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted January 30, 2013 Yes give them to my son he eats everything. Eating is fun. What I don't finish my teen finish. My hubby eats the left over sandwich. We don't waste food here. Yesterday I made scramble eggs there was left over wala it was today's Breakfast. Left overs become lunch sometimes dinner. Could be a quick snack depends. Since we are 5 I buy in bulk costco & local market western beef/stop & shop I separate the meat divide it in 4. I don't eat much so I'm more with steak & fish. Buy trix yogurt or la yogurt which is small container so it don't go to waste. Also buy what you need & if you have time go weekly & get only a few items. Good Exercise walking around the market ect..
