Before WLS 11-26-12 I had been on anti depressants for about 5 years....I was on effexor right before surgery and have been off now for about 3 mo. Well, I'm thinking I may need to go back on something. I know with the hormonal change after surgery it is normal to be Moody......but my mood swings are ridiculous! ! I beginning to think I may very well be bipolar also..... idk. ...but I can be 110% happy with life one minute and completely miserable the next! My husband must really love me to put up with my bs. ....anyone else having mood issues?

After my surgery on June 13 2012 I was crazy. First couple months were rough. Believe me it gets better. My poor husband! I would relate my issues to a drug addict detoxing from their drug of choice. It will get easier and I wish the best of luck.

Yes, I too was on effexor but it was far too harsh on my belly. My moods went crazy for the first 3 months and now are stabilizing
