Has anyone tried them? I've been having trouble getting all my Protein in so I was thinking about trying them. I wanted to see if anyone else has tried them?

I tried them, I orderd 2 cases on line, watermelon flavor thinking they would be good. They were 42 grams of Protein. When I got my delivery I hurried up and opened them real and took a big sip and spit it out !!! OMG was it discusting, I thought something was spoiled so I opened the 2nd case and it had the same discusting taste. I sent them back. Everyone's taste is different, you may want to just try one first to see if you like it. I heard lots of comments about them and most people said they tasted really nasty.

Be careful & read the label. Usually the quality of Protein is poor for RNY pts. We need whey isolate or blend with concentrate. Most of those have cellulose which is not good for our needs. Body can only absorb 30 gms of protein at a time so anything in excess is wasted.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought since its a shot it wouldn't be so hard to chug it fast and maybe chase it with Water, but even after 4 months i forget how small My pouch is now.I've tried so many Protein Shakes and drinks that I just can't handle taste wise. I'm running out of ideas. I haven't tried adding unflavored Proteins powder to foods so that will be my next step.

My advise- DONT DO IT- YIKES! I have tried 2 single shots (watermelon and grape) and hated them- nasty, but I am not a waster (obviously lol!) so I choked it down. I actually mixed the shot in 8 ounces of h20- still gross but not as sweet and syrupy.

My Protein Shake can be mixed with just 4oz of milk. I can handle getting that down in about one gulp. It is 30g of Protein. I got it at max muscle.

Umm, same here. I would choke down the Protein Shots cause I paid for em' and they were a good source if Protein. My nut said they were fine to use. Anyways, after almost making myself vomit, I never bought more and just tried to make the Unjury work as much as I could. They also have these shakes I've been seeing around in the dairy aisle, 3o G protein and not nasty at all to me, tastes kinda like chocolate milk really. Shamrock Farms Rockin Refuel.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
