Kathy Pitcher 102 Posted January 22, 2013 Scheduled my cardiology clearance today!! It's 1/31/13. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Will it just be an EKG? Thanks!
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted January 22, 2013 All I had was an EKG....I have no cardiac history though. Good luck!

ElleG 394 Posted January 22, 2013 I think you will be fine! I have high blood pressure and have been seeing a cardiologist for 4 years so it was easy for me. I discuss everything with him, I trust him and his opinion. NO WORRIES 1 Kathy Pitcher reacted to this
pookybear 284 Posted January 23, 2013 Mine was an EKG, an ECHO, a pulmonary function test, a pneumonia shot, and a blood gas test. But it probably depends on the doctor.
Blaq_Butterfly 27 Posted January 23, 2013 I just had an EKG done and a pulmonary function test, that was it. It was easy did a whole 3 hours of other testing though, I think the worse was the upper GI series. Our surgery dates are 2 days from each other, we should try to keep tabs on each other :0) 1 Kathy Pitcher reacted to this

pookybear 284 Posted January 24, 2013 No, not weird. It depends on your medical history, and it also depends on your doctor. Some require it. 1 Kathy Pitcher reacted to this

Kathy Pitcher 102 Posted January 24, 2013 My doctor said i didn't need a cardiac clearance ... Is that weird? Not weird! Like pbear said, some docs just have certain requirements, and others base it on your history... it think my surgeon just wants to be safe.
