myjoshcait 40 Posted October 10, 2013 Terry that's awful, pray he recovers well after surgery. Very difficult being away when our children are injured. Doesn't the forces have access for family during these times? 1 elli'smommy reacted to this

terry1118 1,274 Posted October 10, 2013 Still no news. I know it's only a broken leg - it'll heal. It could have been worse in so many terrible ways so he's lucky. I'm just missing him and wanting to be with him. He's 22 and not married, so he has no family to be there for him. He's got his platoon buddies and a few of them are really good friends. Maybe they'll let him come home to heal? He was supposed to start his second deployment after the holidays (he's security for Force Recon) but that's not going to happen now. I guess we'll find out more in the next couple of days.

ArmyOfMe 82 Posted October 10, 2013 Yesterday and today were my 'I'm a moron' days. I gave into homemade chicken Schnitzel and sopapillas. Didn't have much of it and luckily for MFP, I didn't cross over my cal limit at all. Still, moron move to eat fried. I'm over my Schnitzel craving now. Jacqueline K 93 Posted October 10, 2013 Cooked for the family- beef roast in crockpot all day, cooked down yellow squash with onions, grilled marinated mushrooms, and homemade mashed potatoes. Everybody ate tons and I ate a tiny plate with a little of everything. All sitting good. Soon will be time for all the kiddies to go to bed finally. Been a long day!
