What stage can you eat this?

Not sure. I'm 8 months out. I could have Soup like chili in my puréed stage if I chewed well so I'm guessing this soup would be the same.

It is -4 with a wind chill of -28 right now in WI. Took a bag of garbage out the back door and just about blew over. Even the dogs don't want to go out!

Taco soup! Real easy recipe. 7 cans of ingredients and taco seasoning! Yum, yum!,

I LOVE 8 Can Taco Soup now, and Im sure you will too!

The ingredients are pictured above but here is a complete list:

      • 1 (15 oz.) can black Beans, drained and rinsed
      • 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
      • 1 (14.5 oz.) can petite diced tomatoes, drained
      • 1 (15.25 oz.) can sweet corn, drained
      • 1 (12.5 oz.) can white chicken breast, drained
      • * You could use shredded rotisserie chicken meat if you want a meatier soup, I will do this next time.
      • 1 (10.75 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
      • 1 (10 oz.) can green enchilada sauce
      • 1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
      • 1 packet taco seasoning
Directions:
  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large pot.
  2. Heat until warm, stirring occasionally. ( this took me 15 minutes MAX on the stove )
  3. Serve with tortilla chips. Garnish with sour cream, cheese, cilantro, red onions etc.

ENJOY. It is delicious.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
