jaye1464 70 Posted December 31, 2013 Christmas was not good for me. I desperately wanted to eat everything. I actually put on 4 lbs. I'm so mad at myself because it just was not worth it. Now I've got to find a way to get back on track. I'm very impressed with those of you who managed to be disciplined! You'll be fine, just start over and do some Protein Shakes for a couple of meals. You'll be back on track In no time!

bloreorbust 286 Posted January 1, 2014 Leftover olive garden chicken and risotto. I love that my husband and I can split everything and I still get two meals out of that. We also make healthier choices in general. Although I'm the one who had surgery, we have both benefited from the healthy changes. 1 JPrez10706 reacted to this

SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted January 1, 2014 Black eyed peas, greens, ham...welcome to New Years in the south! Couldn't bring myself to make cornbread only to eat 2 bites and trash the rest. 3 life_after_gastric_bypass, ajustice and happiness0325 reacted to this
JeanaLuvsKisses 110 Posted January 2, 2014 Made homemade chili, small bowl and also a bit of cabbage and black eye peas for tradition I made homemade chili today too. Had a small piece of cornbread with it. What's behind the tradition of cabbage and black eye peas?
OleHippieGal 275 Posted January 2, 2014 Cabbage is for money. Can't remember black eye peas. But been a tradition since I was a little girl 1 JeanaLuvsKisses reacted to this
ajustice 484 Posted January 2, 2014 I had my black eyes peas and cabbage. I've always heard the cabbage for money and peas for luck! Had to keep up with tradition. 2 OleHippieGal and JeanaLuvsKisses reacted to this

We do greens for money, but same theory (actually I hate greens so I do spinach). Absolutely sure it doesn't work but hey, it's tradition 1 JeanaLuvsKisses reacted to this
jerzeygirl81 37 Posted January 2, 2014 Applebee's 4oz steak & a few spoons of mashed potatoes. Took the other 4oz steak home & repurposed it this morning into a omelette.
deaddemmama 474 Posted January 2, 2014 chicken with garlic, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and spinach with a balsamic and wine reduction. Herbed quinoa on the side. Yummy. Couldn't face chicken for awhile, but it hit the spot.
Mkmb2006 41 Posted January 3, 2014 Wondering the same thing about baking the corn tortillas. I just cut plain corn tortillas into 6 triangles, spread them on a cookie sheet, sprinkle with Kosher salt and bake at 350 for maybe 10 minutes. I don't use any spray or oil, and they come out great (ha, when I make them for hubby - I don't eat them).
