What ya eating tonight?

Recommended Posts

Had 3 inches of a pepperoni sub from Sheetz... Admittedly, not the best thing I could have chosen.. I've been craving one like crazy so I broke down when I had to stop and put air in my tire after school. I ended up getting an extra work out in after dinner out if guilt though. Hahaha

I don't know what's wrong with me but I've been eating everything in sight tonight. I had a bowl of fish chowder, maybe 7 hummus chips, 1oz of beef Jerky, and 4 spoonfuls of no sugar added ice cream. Ugh I don't know where it's all going.

Ok... Think about it like this... When you look at what you ACTUALLY ate, it's not THAT much. Pre-op you would have laughed at worrying about that much food! Don't be too hard on yourself and just make sure you do better tomorrow. Make tomorrow a "protein first" day! Fill up on delicious Proteins, so hopefully you won't feel snacky. :)

I have been doing the same thing. Eating when and what I shouldn't be. In such a funk for some reason. Gotta get back on track. :-(

Ham and cheddar lunchable, minus a few crackers that I shared w/the crows. I still can't eat a whole one.

I had 1 oz turkey lunch meat on half of a low carb wrap... After the gym, I microwaved a Tyson ready grilled chicken breast and topped it with some spaghetti sauce and low fat mozz cheese. A delicious Protein bomb! :)

Yogurt. Not feeling it tonight. Bad news from my son. He's a marine training for his next deployment. He was rappelling out of a helicopter tonight and fell to the ground, shattering his leg. He's in surgery to repair it - he needs a plate and screws. I wish I could be there but he's in California and I'm in New England. He's no baby, but he's MY baby. :-(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
