Anyone have a good chicken chili recipe? I've been craving it.

I don't know if its the BEST recipe, but I love it! Lol

1 lb ground chicken

1 large can crushed tomatoes

1 packet dry onion Soup

2 cans chili Beans

Chili powder to your liking (I dump a ton in... Maybe 2 or 3 TBS??)

Salt and pepper

1/2 cup ketchup

1 tbs mustard

2 packets sweetnlow

Sauté the chicken up with some olive oil and the packet of soup mix. Dump everything else in, stir, and simmer for an hour or 2... I do mine in a large skillet. We love it. It's simple, but yummy! Lol my recipe is totally made up from experimenting in my kitchen, so just make sure you make things how you like them... Aka.. Sweeter, hotter, milder, etc... :)

Ooooh. Sounds good. 3 hrs? Wow. Yeah' date=' I might have to crank it up a little ;)

Think I'll try that! Thanks.[/quote']

Ok so I cranked up the temp to 350 and they burnt before they dried out lol...so then tried 250 for 2 1/2 hrs and then turned off the oven and left them in the oven overnight and woke up this morning and they were crispy and delicious! Way better this time :)

I tried cranberry chicken salad and after a couple bites I could tell it wasn't going to sit well, so I switched to Break stone's cottage doubler w/peaches. Much better. Lately that's my go to meal if my pouch is picky. I like the blueberry one best. :-)

Craving a big plate of blueberry pancakes with syrup' date=' bacon, and sausages. Protein Shake instead =([/quote']

Make Protein pancakes!! Taste more like French toast than pancakes, but they're still yummy!!

4 egg whites

1/2 cup rolled oats (dry)

1tsp vanilla

2 packets sweetener

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt (basically a big pinch! Lol)

1 tsp cinnamon

Blend everything up in blender until smooth then make pancakes as you normally would!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
