Made homemade meatloaf , masked potatoes , and salad...my first time time eating meatloaf on over a year , it was ok but felt thick even after chewing and couldn't eat anything else ;(

Went to a clam bake. Trued to eat a clam but after chewing and chewing an chewing with no success I spit it out and moved on to steamed blue crabs!! They were delicious ! It took me forever to eat because I had to break them open and pry out the meat so for the first time I threw out my 20min to eat rule. I picked through 2 crabs and had 2 bites of crab dip... Now I'm just worried... Did I eat too much, did I eat too slow... Why can't I just enjoy my dinner? ??

1oz Boston Market turkey breast and felt too stuffed to try my puree of spinach, ricotta, and a few grilled onions... maybe tomorrow

Had KFC grilled chicken leg, 90 calories 0 carbs, KFC grilled chicken breast 220 calories 4 carbs

But had small green Beans and corn low calories but 45 carbs for both. No biscuit

Mac & cheese and a cup of mixed fruit from the kids menu at IHOP. Didn't finish the Mac but finished the fruit cup.

Chicken that was cooked in a broth/cream of chicken mix. Blended(yeah I am in that stage) with a spoon if ricotta cheese.. it was really good and I have seven 1\4 cup bags of left over in the freezer.

That sounds good!! You're doing purees?

Ugh I just woofed down a half a tortilla pizza. I'm getting back into old habits. Not good. I feel like junk now. Ugh!!

I was on a Quest for healthy comfort food recipes last night and found this:

I used a small Mission Carb Balance flour tortilla (80 calories, 13 carbs but 9 grams of Fiber so really not bad, 3 grams of protein), about a tablespoon of the avocado sauce and crammed 3 ounces of the chicken onto the taco. It was light and bright and crunchy and absolutely delicious (and the 9 year old loved it). We didn't have ancho chili seasoning so I used lawry's fire roasted chile and garlic seasoning.

Per MFP-1 soft taco with 3 ounces chicken was 263 calories and 26 grams of Protein, 19 carbs but again 9 of those were fiber..... Definitely going on my favorites list!!!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
