Jeepchick...you could buy a tenderloin and cut it up...freeze what you don't use right away. Herd to cook for one especially when we only eat 1-2 oz...I'm not a fan of requested meat, either.

Is it weird that nothing has affected me yet? I've had alot of foods that bother other people including chicken and haven't gotten anything stuck or tossed a cookie yet. Also I've only felt full a few times. I'm not complaining in anyway but is this happening to anyone else? I'm a little over three weeks out and on soft foods.

I'm with you on this one. I'm now 6 weeks out and I can eat pretty much anything. I did overfill twice. That will not happen again!! Very careful now. The only thing that made me remotely not feel good was the Power Crunch bar. Other than that nothing! So nice to not have a picky pouch!! Everyone tells me I have a pouch of steel!! Lol

I actually do this!! Lol!! I just bought some ground turkey and measured out 2oz and froze it. Now I'm looking at it saying how do I even cook this?? It's so little and I'm so worried its going to be dry. Before I packaged everything into 4-5oz portions and that was hard enough to cook. Lol

I'm starting to get hollow feeling. When that happens I check the time and usaily it's time to eat. I don't feel full until I over eat then it hurts. So I carefully weigh and measure.

Had chicken breast last night with cream if mushroom Soup over it and peaches. Yum!

If you want to go to the trouble, I posted a recipe for turkey"sausage" on the recipe section. You could make a batch next time and freeze individual parties. I'm on my third batch...of course I can't keep my family out of it.

First time eating out and can't believe how much food I took home. Had a few bites of Caesar salad, 3 small shrimp scamp, 2 tiny broiled scallops, spoonful of mash and 1/2 cheddar bay biscuit.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
