Boiled the hot dog (it's a chicken dog)' date=' lightly browned the tortilla in a pan and put a slice of cheese on top, put the dog on that and rolled it and just browned it a little more for the tortilla to stay closed. Could only eat half, though.[/quote']

That looks good too! Just got my WIC today so instead of bread I chose the whole wheat tortillas and have 5 packs of them and didn't know what to do with them. Just so happens that I also purchased chicken hotdogs today as well.

Honestly it was really good...you will love it' date=' enjoy![/quote']

I burned the first one cuz I nodded off! Shame on me! So the next one I put sauce, mozzerella and diced ham. Ate about 1/2 and doggy got the rest. Delicious. I'm already planning my next one. Alfredo sauce, a little parm, diced grilled chicken or shrimp and garlic is calling me.

You know what I have learned after surgery' date=' everything is trial and error...I am 4 months tomorrow.

What one person eats, the next person may not be able to tolerate

Although the doctors have designed a menu, things on that menu don't necessarily agree with me so i try new things.

bread I can't eat but a thin wrap i can its weird...steak no, chicken sometimes, Pasta no, rice no, it's so many things i enjoyed before that I am unable to tolerate now.

Unless its super soft, most times i am chewing and discarding the rest. ;-(

Thank the Lord seafood especially snow crabs agree with me. I have notice not all doctors designed the same menu diet for everyone. I hear some ppl say they can't eat popcorn and my doc says yes. I always say you never know what you can tolerate until you try it. (Post surgery i ate what I want, after surgery I make better choices)

My doc is an 'everything in moderation' believer...avoid sweets and fats but everything g else in moderation. This works well for me. I'm finding chicken to be heavy but a good medium steak is no problem, oranges, apples grapes all no problem. Corn and popcorn no problem....asparagus no problem (but I can't each much of it). It's like I had the most fickle lap band and now have the coolest pouch ever :)

I had a baked chicken thigh seasoned with Mrs. Dash spicy seasoning (can't remember the exact name) and some collard greens. Simple and tasty!

You're already doing better than me. I accidentally bought corn tortillas instead of regular ones. My pouch has NOT been happy with me so far.

Grilled trout from Longhorn Steakhouse! Yummy! First time I have eaten out since surgery. Def strange trying to make sure I made the right choices. I think my pouch (which I affectionately call Millie- which is short for Milagros and means miracle in Spanish) loves fish and does not just hold 2 oz. I am pretty sure I ate a little over 3 oz. I am full but not hurting. Maybe because I ate very slowly. It went well. Is anyone eating carbs? How much are you eating? I have only eaten Protein since surgery, but I have little energy.

1/2 of a 6 inch subway club ( folded the 6 inches of meat in half, threw away the extra 3 inches of bread plus pinched off the edges of the bread, so yeah, maybe 1/4 of the 6 inch bread total. It was delish!!!!!

I had Mushroom chicken from Panda Express. Not my favorite, should have went for the shrimp, oh well I got 1/4 cup down before I was full. It was high in Protein and low in calories so that's all good.

Been craving subway, but I like the flatbread. Too early to try yet, but someday....

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
