MrsLulu 69 Posted April 19, 2013 Tonight I am struggling to get my Protein Shake in. Today I have had a few bites of pudding and some cream of chicken Soup with herbs. I really want to eat string cheese but it has only been 4 days since surgery so I know it is not a good idea. Man, I would love to just have some cheese... Lol! I really need to get my Protein in, but it is harder than I thought it would be. Before surgery I was starving and couldn't eat. Now there are things I can eat, and I am not hungry. Hmmm, interesting....

pookybear 284 Posted April 19, 2013 I've been having so much trouble getting all my Protein lately. I use cheeses for Snacks, a Protein Shake a day, and try to pick foods that have protein. But I eat so little that it never seems to add up

one4ozzie 434 Posted April 19, 2013 How is it I'm eating nothing but broths' date=' cottage cheese, puréed black Beans and lentils and Protein Shakes and some how week 3 I've managed to lose literally nothing! It's so discouraging. Ive also been on the treadmill 5-6 times a week. I always hear of people losing amazing amounts in the beginning. I'm scared that I'm only 3 weeks in and I've already quit losing, is this not working for me? Also I don't really feel full when I eat. I can eat about a half cup or a little more and feel fine. Shouldn't I be stuffed at only 3 weeks?[/quote'] I don't think I really started losing until after my 1st month. I lost some but was a slow loser :-( It sped up, I believe, once real food was added in. Your body is probably resisting the change (being stubborn) as mine was. You might want to also up your protein!!! I found with me, my Dr recommended minimum 60g a day. I need 80-100. That's what helped me the most. Four months out, I lose about 2-3 lbs a week and have been very happy because of how it adds up in total weight loss. one4ozzie 434 Posted April 19, 2013 Thanks! Before surgery I used to cook all the time. Since then it seems as if I've become an idiot in the kitchen now! LoL! HW:358 DOS:338 CW:282 SD:1/28/13 I hear you :-( It's sad. I feel out of my realm in the kitchen now. Don't like it either. So many great ideas on here.
