Foranewme 46 Posted March 20, 2013 One Trader Joes turkey meatball with a tablespoon of sauce. Yum. I had my surgery on 2/25. Are you still on mushys? If so are you just crushing the meatball up. I am asking because that sounds so good and I am trying too get my ideas for food. I have 4 more weeks too go on mushys.

I am asking because that sounds so good and I am trying too get my ideas for food. I have 4 more weeks too go on mushys. I am on soft foods and meatballs are allowed if they are cut in tiny pieces and moist. I am also allowed pot roast, dark meat chicken, baked fish and tuna, egg and chicken salad (no celery) with light mayo. Also well cooked veggies, scrambled egg with cheese, bananas, applesauce, smoothies, no sugar ice cream and custard, Soups and yogurt. I will not choke down another Protein Drink. My surgery was 2/28 and today had a leak test and everything was good! Hope this helps! 1 Alexandra39 reacted to this

trailblazer57 31 Posted March 21, 2013 I am going to suggest not eating chicken and sweet potato in same meal. I got so full omg it hurt. Didn't vomit but I kinda wish it would have happen. I need to learn the take a bite chew 25 times sit fork down and go again. It's hard to do that when te sweet potato is creamy and no lumps. I did chew chicken well nothing got stuck. But pheww it was painful. Yes I was wondering how you felt after eating that. Omg pain call the doctor relief is on the way.
OleHippieGal 275 Posted March 21, 2013 Yes I was wondering how you felt after eating that. Omg pain call the doctor relief is on the way. I felt ok but no more sweet potatoes ever full of carbs!!! I try to only take in 60 carbs a day my doctor never said anything about carbs only Protein but even if I try to stay under 50 carbs I always seem to get between 75 and 100 carbs. No not every day but at least 3 times a week and it's tough. So I know I can't have any fruit way to much carbs. Beans or peas also loaded with carbs. Some other veggies like carrots squash carbs galore. Looks like its just meat and chicken and fish stuff. I think Myfitnesspal has it out for me lol. I think I am doing good some days and boom it lets me down again.

My nut says at three months out I should eat the way I plan to eat for the rest of my life. I know each doctors play is different. You may want to ask yours about what you should do about carbs. SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted March 21, 2013 quick question regarding food. Do I really need to buy a food scale? Does anyone use it to measure food?? I was a doubter, didn't think I'd use it but use it on a daily basis. I have pre measured bags of nuts or granola I grab to take to work but I do use it with meals some too. It helps me learn to visualize what 4 oz of chicken really looks like.
